The Labor Strauss Group has further developed its product range for fire protection and presents the Series BC08, a compact fire detection and extinguishing control panel. As "successor" to the BC06, the new compact control panel is suitable for small protected areas. Monitored buildings of this size are particularly common in the hotel, catering, education and care sectors. "Automatic fire detection systems with highly complex actuations are in demand not only for large production plants or organisations. Even smaller businesses, kindergartens or boutique hotels must provide for the security of their employees, customers or guests and have to be equipped accordingly. With the introduction of the BC08, we meet the requirements of this important market segment," says Labor Strauss Product Manager Martin Bauer. In terms of sales markets, the majority of target customers come from neighboring countries, followed by customers from Southern and Eastern Europe and a few from Turkey and China.
Easy commissioning, compact construction, appealing design
All functional units that are needed for the operation of the BC08 are already included in its basic version. The BC08 has four to eight detector lines in conventional technology, depending on the version. They allow connection of automatic fire detectors, manual call points, special detectors and fault detection contacts. Commissioning the control panel requires little effort. It can be carried out in a particularly easy and time-saving way, even without a PC, using one of several factory settings. Self-explanatory menu navigation and a clear event indication also contribute to the uncomplicated operation of the system. The numerous integrated functions, a compact construction and the pleasing design allow versatile use of the product.
Special fire protection measures in special buildings
A fire can start at any time and anywhere. Therefore, a fire alarm requires quick action before human life is endangered and irreversible damage to property occurs. Certain special buildings – for example schools, kindergartens, accommodation facilities such as small hotels or retirement homes – are classified as buildings with a particular risk to people. The BC08 detects a fire danger after a few seconds, alerts the persons in the respective building by means of acoustic or optical signals and, if necessary, forwards the alarm to the fire brigade, so that they can respond in good time.

New sales markets and global growth again set a benchmark in fire protection technology," concludes Martin Bauer. This once again underlines Labor Strauss' commitment to continuous development. The knowledge gained from this will benefit regional and international customers for even more individual security.
The Fire Detection and Extinguishing Control Panels Series BC08 have been tested according to the standards EN 54-2/4 and EN 12094-1, and have been certified according to VdS guidelines.
