REmote ACcess Tool – News

The remote access system REACT is continually improved and developed further, and new functions are added frequently. In the following, we would like to give you an overview of the most important changes and new features.

Performance update

With the new mobile APP version V1.1.219, which is available for download from the APP stores for iOS and Android, an even more powerful system is available to the users. Here is an overview of the most important improvements for you:

  • data and events are constantly reloaded in the background so that data are available faster
  • APP automatically establishes connection again when Internet connection is changed (WLAN to mobile data), thereby improving convenience of use
  • reduced response time through optimisation of the data connection
  • faster database search for clients and users.

As a result of the optimisation, there is a noticeable performance enhancement, and therefore, when you call up events or operate a system, the handling of the APP is improved.

Push voice messages

While fire detectors are checked, it often is advantageous for the technician if he or she does not have to hold the mobile device. For example, for the operation of the detector tester, for the use of ladders and raising platforms, and for many other activities, both hands are needed.

For this application, REACT can acoustically output events as push messages. The technician puts the mobile device in his/her pocket, and when an event occurs, the technician hears the text as voice message. Of course, in areas with noise pollution, a headset can be used for this purpose. In the same way, while driving to the system, the technician can have all new fault messages output as voice messages.

Maintenance report

In most cases, maintenance of a fire detection system takes more than one day. Here it is always important to have a good overview of the system parts which have already been tested. Usually both the company carrying out the maintenance and the user of the system need a final report as documentation of the maintenance.

These requirements can be fulfilled in an especially convenient way by means of the REACT maintenance report. While the required work is being carried out, all detectors and detector zones which have already been checked are marked with a symbol.

After completion of the maintenance work, the REACT System management allows you to output a report in the pdf or csv format on a PC. The report provides a clear overview, listing the system parts that have already been checked as well as the checks that have not yet been executed, and it can also be used as documentation. A printed list is no longer necessary.

System overview on a map

As an alternative to the list of systems, now a user's systems which have been linked to the REACT server can be shown on a map. In this way, the user gets an exact geographical overview of the systems, including a coloured indication of the system conditions Online, Offline, Alarm, Fault and Disablement.

REACT for Extinguishing Control Panel LC600

From now on, extinguishing systems can be monitored and operated in the same way as fire detection systems. That means the REACT system's entire range of features is also available to installers, to the technicians who are responsible for extinguishing systems, and to the persons who are responsible for extinguishing.

For each user the display restrictions can be flexibly set, and it is also possible to determine for each user whether the user can operate zones, alarming devices, actuations, transmitting devices or flooding zones. In this way, individual settings for the abovementioned user groups can be made.
