The native Viennese (50) brings decades of experience in software development and data bases. In his new position as Division Manager Technology, Thomas Friedl has set himself the goal of continuing to drive forward the modernisation of manufacturing processes as well as introducing new technologies through IT processes and making existing processes even faster, safer and more efficient. "What I am looking forward to most is working closely with my employees, developing and implementing solutions together and promoting individual strengths," says Thomas Friedl, who already worked for the Labor Strauss Group from 1993 to 2008 and was instrumental in introducing IT and was head of this department. Starting in 2000, he also held the position of Head of Domestic Sales.
Then his career path took him to Germany and China. As a passionate pilot who holds the EASA airline transport pilot license (ATPL) for Airbus 320, Thomas Friedl previously worked for the Lufthansa Group in European continental traffic, for Vistajet in worldwide VIP transport, and for Air Macau in China as a training captain and head of the flight standards department. In addition to his law studies at the University of Vienna, he completed the HTL Communications Engineering and Electronics at the TGM Vienna.
