To mark its 100th anniversary, LST took its crew on a voyage through the company's history at the beginning of June. On the shimmering waters of the Danube, memories of the past decades were shared and the joint commitment to fire protection was celebrated. The company, which was founded in Vienna in 1924 by Siegmund Strauss, the inventor of the X-ray dosimeter, now has around 250 employees in twelve branch offices in Austria and Germany.
Another highlight of the anniversary year was the staff party on the Danube, with the route leading all the way to the World Heritage Site Wachau. With lots of fun and musical sounds, the oversized birthday cake and the anniversary speech were not to be missed. Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Friedl, General Manager and co-owner of LST, was delighted with a committed and steady team: "Our employees are the heart of our success, they deserve recognition and my very special thanks." LST is not only regarded as a driver of innovation within the industry, but is also known as a safe and fair employer, with some employees having been with the company for 30 or more years.
