Labor Strauss Group opens new company building in Vienna Liesing

The Labor Strauss Group, Europe's leading manufacturer of fire detection and extinguishing control systems, invited guests to the opening of the just completed 1,200 m² company annex of the headquarters in Vienna Liesing on 10 September. This will further expand the development and production of high-quality fire detection systems, extinguishing control systems and safety lighting systems at the Vienna site, where more than 100 people are employed.

LST Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Friedl opened the celebration with a review of the company's success story and was pleased that the extension of the Vienna headquarters had set the course for the company's continued positive economic development. „With the sustainable expansion of our company headquarters, we have created the conditions for continuous expansion and also secure the location for the next generation“. The remodelling will also make it possible to take on additional employees in the future, especially in the areas of production and sales.

The highlight of the event, which was attended by Gerald Bischof, District Head of the 23rd District of Vienna, his deputy Dominik Bertagnol, Matthias Schiffer, District Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce for the 23rd District, managing directors of neighbouring companies and employees of the Vienna LST site, was the unveiling of the company logo, which now adorns the access road to the company premises. LST Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Friedl: „It was particularly important to us to preserve the old stock of black pine trees and an old sal willow while at the same time creating more space for offices and production. The expansion is thus a clear commitment to value creation in Austria.“

After the official opening, a tour of the new building revealed a lot of interesting facts: The Labor Strauss Group, whose portfolio covers the production, installation and maintenance of fire detection and extinguishing control systems as well as emergency and safety lighting, has had one goal for almost 100 years: "The protection of people and property".

From a three-man firm to an international fire protection expert
